​The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology strives to be a "Centre of Excellence" in patient care, education and research for digestive and liver disease management.

Consultative services are primarily offered at the University Digestive Centre (UDC) at the Kent Ridge Wing and the Digestive Centre (DC) at the NUH Medical Centre. Both centres are dedicated to providing a comfortable, convenient and comprehensive experience, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal and liver diseases.

14b Digestive Centre & University Digestive Centre

The University Digestive Centre is a modern, one-stop facility dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. We provide tertiary medical and surgical gastroenterological and hepatobiliary services, striving to be a "Centre of Excellence" in patient care, education and research in digestive diseases..

Endoscopy Centre
As a tertiary endoscopy facility, we perform routine diagnostic and therapeutic Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasonography (EUS), and ERCP, alongside specialist endoscopic procedures such as Wireless Capsule Endoscopy, Balloon-Assisted Enteroscopy, Intragastric Balloon Placement, Confocal Endomicroscopy, Fine-Needle Aspiration or Injection under EUS, and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection.

Gastro Motility Laboratory
Located within the Endoscopy Centre, the Gastro Motility Laboratory (GML) provides outpatient diagnostic tests for patients experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms. Our collaboration with referring clinicians ensures accurate, reliable and timely diagnoses.

​We are actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training. Our educational programs cover Gastroenterology and Hepatology rotations in the Internal Medicine residency programme, where doctors learn to manage gastrointestinal emergencies and common diseases. Our international outreach includes hosting overseas doctors for medical electives, observer-ships and fellowships in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Additionally, we contribute to various medical educational workshops and conferences.
